On September 4, the founders of the Coordination Center for domains .RU/.РФ held a General Meeting. They approved priorities of the Coordination Center for TLD RU for 2017–2019. The priority project was discussed earlier at a meeting of the Coordination Center’s Council and recommended for consideration by the General Meeting of the Center’s founders.
The priorities include maintaining the Russian .RU and .РФ domains on the international level; ensuring integrity, continuity, stability, sustainability and security of the Russian national Internet segment, promoting Internet security, supporting the Russian Internet community, increasing the use of Internet in Russia in the interest of users, businesses and the government and ensuring the quality and accessibility of domain registration services. A number of other issues were also discussed at the General Meeting. In particular, the meeting participants approved amendments to the Charter and Regulations on the Council of Coordination Center for TLD RU.
