Experts of the .RU/.РФ Domain Coordination Center make presentations in 12 Russian cities

The sixth spring Website Formula, a series of free workshops for Internet entrepreneurs organized by 1C-Bitrix, is coming to an end; the .RU/.РФ Domain Coordination Center has been taking part in it for the second consecutive year.
This year's geographical coverage was especially wide. Representatives from the Coordination Center spoke in 12 cities including Khabarovsk, Yekaterinburg, Kemerovo, Tyumen, Barnaul, Pyatigorsk, Yaroslavl, Penza, Makhachkala, Ivanovo, Tver and Tula, where they talked about using domain names to increase business profitability. The speakers included Deputy Director of Information Department at Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ Mikhail Anisimov, senior project manager at Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ Tatyana Novikova and head of special projects at Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ Yevgeny Pankov.

This year, the speakers focused on ways to work with users' personal data, in addition to discussing the rules for working with domain names and infomediary issues. They explained what personal data is, went over the procedure for working with it, and explained how to comply with the law on collecting, processing and storing personal data during operation.

Traditionally, most of the questions had to do with domain disputes, trademark registration, and how to avoid being accidentally blocked. The correct approach and professional advice on these issues significantly reduces the risks for online businesses and helps them grow.

According to Mikhail Anisimov, doing these workshops helps the .RU/.РФ Domain Coordination Center better communicate with end users and tell them about the intricacies of working with the address system. “It’s very important for the Coordination Center that the use of the Russian domain space be comfortable and convenient for Internet business owners so they know how to react to various situations and not make mistakes due to lack of awareness. Actually, all our work is aimed at increasing the digital literacy of online business owners; and the Coordination Center’s experience is quite useful for the participants − especially concerning the law on the Internet,” said Mikhail Anisimov.
