Applications are being accepted for Positive Content competition

The 7th national competition for online projects for children, teenagers and youth known as Positive Content has traditionally kicked off on Children’s Day, June 1, 2017. The Coordination Center of .RU/.РФ top level domains has been the co-organizer in association with the Foundation for Internet Development and the Regional Public Center of Internet Technologies. It is supported by the Russian Association for Electronic Communications (RAEC), REG.RU, Kaspersky Lab and RU-CENTER.

Applications are being accepted until October 1, 2017 at www.positivecontent.ru . By October 20, a shortlist of finalists will be determined. The winners will be announced and an awards ceremony held in November as part of the Runet Prize 2017.

The competition includes previous projects (websites, blogs, media resources, video channels, social media groups, computer and online games) and new applications adapted for popular mobile platforms (Android, iOS and/or Windows). The projects need to have been launched in January 2017 at the latest. Terms and eligibility criteria are available on the official website in the Rules section.

The contest is held in nine main and five special categories. The quality mark “Positive Content” will be conferred on all the projects selected for the finals. In addition, finalists will be listed in the WebLandia catalogue and will be offered a domain name in the .DETI zone. Winners will receive prizes from the organizers and competition partners.

One of the primary goals of the Positive Content competition is to promote high quality digital educational, information and entertainment products that meet modern standards of information security across the Russian online segment and to boost the digital literacy of Russians by promoting high quality internet projects with positive content.
