The Coordination Center for TLD .RU and Rostelecom are announcing the opening of registration for the 6th Explore The Internet & Govern It! Russian Online Championship for schoolchildren. Registration will be available on the official website игра-интернет.рф until October 31, 2017.
The competition is designed for children and teens aged under 18, who can compete individually or in teams. The championship will last for a month – from November 1 to November 30, 2017. The final ranking of champions in each contest is formed online. All runners-up will receive personalized certificates and valuable gifts.

The championship is part of the Explore The Internet & Govern It! social and educational project, which aims to improve the level of digital literacy of beginning internet users. The project is based on the Knowledge educational module, which includes interactive information about the history and structure of the internet, the principles of operation of key IT-services, the rules of safe online behavior, etc. To check and improve their knowledge, everyone can upload a free mobile app with tests.
Annually, the online championship involves up to 15,000 school students from all over Russia. Last year, the championship’s theme was internet security: the questions and tasks dealt with cyber threat protection, data privacy, social network security and antivirus activity. The main theme of the 2017 championship is the Internet of Things (IoT).
