Website Formula: from Ivanovo to Khabarovsk

The spring series of the Website Formula seminars is underway. The Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ is taking part in the seminars for the second time. The Center’s experts have already visited Barnaul, Yekaterinburg, Ivanovo, Kemerovo, Makhachkala, Pyatigorsk, Tver, Tyumen and Khabarovsk and will soon make presentations in Tula, Penza, Yaroslavl and other Russian cities.

This year’s seminars have been very popular, which means that the issues discussed are relevant for small businesses and individual entrepreneurs. Listeners have many questions for the Coordination Center’s experts; they ask about storage and processing of personal data, including the inspections by the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media (Roskomnadzor) of personal data operators. The seminars also focus on the protection of domain names, domain disputes and other professional issues. The Coordination Center has prepared a brochure, Domain Disputes, which has been in great demand among the seminar participants.

“During previous seminars, we asked the audience what issues we should cover in the future. So, in this season we complemented our reports with information about personal data storage and protection. In particular, we will speak about what user data can be collected by online stores, to what third parties it can give the provided information and what kind of user agreement it must have to do so. This has traditionally been the most pressing issue for entrepreneurs as well,” said Mikhail Anisimov, deputy head of the Coordination Center’s information service and one of the permanent instructors at the seminars.

The Website Formula series of free seminars is being held for the sixth time. The seminars are sponsored by 1C-Bitrix with the support of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ, Yandex, Mail.ru Group, VKontakte and others.
