Innopolis to announce IP&IT Law winners

In 2017, the Coordination Center for the second time has served as the sponsor of the All-Russia Youth Contest in the Information Technology and Intellectual Property Law. The contest is co-sponsored by the IP Club with support from the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, Information Technology and Communications. The results have already been announced and the award ceremony will take place on April 7 at the 8th Russian Internet Governance Forum (RIFG-2017), which will be held in the city of Innopolis, the Republic of Tatarstan.

This year, an important award awaits the winners of the IP&IT Law contest. The first and second place winners will receive medals from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), which is a proof that the contest is recognized internationally. WIPO has repeatedly lent its support to similar contests around the world, but the awarding of two medals at the same time is a sign of high praise for both the contest itself and the quality of student entries. The organizers of the contest and other companies that have contributed to the development of this area of law will also receive awards. The IP&IT Law has been held since 2016 for law students specializing in internet law and IT. Last year, the Russian Internet Governance Forum announced its first winners, many of whom will be guests at the 2017 forum and will take part in the award ceremony this year.
