On March 14, after passing the technical tests, Beget, an accredited registrar of Russian domain names, went live. Beget is based in St. Petersburg.
The accreditation agreement was signed on October 21, 2016. It authorizes Beget to register domains in the .RU and .РФ zones. Beget is the fourth accredited registrar of Russian domain names from the so-called “northern capital.” The Russian domain market includes 45 certified registrars.
