On December 12, the expert council of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, IT and Communications made a number of changes to its makeup and now includes 107 members representing industry-specific associations, trade unions, government agencies and major universities.
Established in 2015, the council brings together managers and leading experts of the largest internet and IT companies that are members of the Russian Association for Electronic Communications (RAEC). CCTLD is represented in the council by Director Andrey Vorobyev and his advisor Dmitry Afanasyev.
“Involvement in the expert council gives us the opportunity to directly discuss important issues of the internet industry with the government, as well as share our knowledge and experience with other council members. This practice will be useful for the entire internet community,” commented Andrey Vorobyev, Director of the Coordination Center for TLD RU/РФ.
