The election of the chairman of the Committee of Registrars ended on November 21 with the choice of general director of the registrar company NauNet SP Andrei Kondakov.
Director of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ Andrey Vorobyev thanked outgoing chairman Alexei Korolyuk. “The task we set for the Registrars Committee was accomplished in the past year: the committee’s work was reset and the role of registrars in the Coordination Center increased,” Mr Vorobyev said. “During this time the committee held many useful practical meetings. The committee’s remarks were taken into account in the tailoring of its main documents to its new Charter. The working group on vacated domains established under the Registrars Committee also completed its activities. The committee has a solid foundation for future work and I’m confident that the new chairman will continue working in an open and practical manner.”
The Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ established the Committee of Registrars in 2014. It includes dozens of major national registrars accredited at the center. Its members take part in drafting the organizational and technological aspects of the registration system and supporting domain names in Russian national zones. The committee chairman is elected every year.

Education: Graduated from the MEPhI faculty of automatics in 1990 and completed the MEPhI full-time postgraduate program in 1995.
Experience: General Director of NauNet SP. Previously was Development Director at Zenon N.S.P. He was also a member of the Council of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ.
