The Institute of Internet Development will hold a forum called Internet+City at the Rossiya Segodnya International Multimedia Press Center on October 6. It will be the seventh of eight I+ forums. The event will take place with the support of the Internet Initiatives Development Fund (IIDF), the Russian Media-Communication Union (MCU) and Rostelecom.
Leading IT experts will speak about the relevance and the use of open data (in particular, for municipal services), the best practices of “smart cities,” experience and perspectives in the use of IoT in the utilities, construction, energy and security sectors, and about IT solutions as a development factor in transport infrastructure. The forum will also focus on e-government as a discussion platform for efficient city management and a new industrial revolution.
The forum will be attended by Presidential Adviser and Chairman of the IID Council German Klimenko; State Duma deputy and IID Council member Leonid Levin; Russian Association for Electronic Communications (RAEC) Director and IID Council member Sergei Plugotarenko; IIDF Director and member of the IID Council Kirill Varlamov; Director of the Rostelecom Center for Strategic Innovations Boris Glazkov; Director of the Institute of Transport Economics and Transport Policy Studies at the HSE Mikhail Blinkin; Deputy Head of the Russian Government Analytical Center Vasily Pushkin; Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Ivanovo Region Oleg Ptashkin; Vice-Rector for Innovation at Moscow Architecture Institute Andrei Zhivaikin; Yandex Vice-President for Corporate Relations Marina Yanina; Russian Post Deputy Director General for State Services Development Rodion Shishkov and other officials, representatives of IT associations and IID experts.
