The Coordination Center for TLD .RU and the company BIZon signed agreement on scientific and technical cooperation in the Netoscope project that is aimed at ensuring domain name security. BIZon (Secure Information Zone) analyzes cyber threats, tests the security systems at major banks and forecasts cyber risks.
The agreement provides for joint research into the content, types and signs of illegal information on the Internet. It is aimed at preventing the proliferation of illegal information, establishing a technological and information platform for technical cooperation, and developing potential models of threats and common formats for the exchange of information on threats. BIZon specializes in countering phishing and searching for sites that violate laws on financial information security and sends this information to the Netoscope data base.
Commenting on the signing of the agreement Coordination Center Director Andrey Vorobyev said: “Financial cyber security concerns everyone. We all pay online for goods and services both in Russia and abroad. Phishing is one of the most widespread cybercrimes and I’m sure our cooperation with BIZon will substantially improve security in this area.”
