In May 2016, Group-IB sent accredited registrars 135 requests to remove domain names guilty of violations from delegation. As a result, 127 domain names were removed from delegation, five of which were then unblocked due to the elimination of violations by their owners. The unblocking was made at the request of CERT-GIB.
Eight domain names were not blocked by registrars because their owners promptly eliminated violations. Currently, 122 domain names remain blocked and 13 domain names are under delegation.
The largest share of detected violations in domains comprise phishing resources (63 percent), and the lowest one, the botnet controllers (2 percent). Ninety nine percent of the offenders are located in the .RU domain zone.
