On June 14, the Internet Development Institute will host the Internet + Society Forum – the fourth of eight forums on the development of the Internet industry as defined at the Internet Economy 2015 forum. The forum is supported by the ROCIT, Media Communication Union and the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ.
Key topics of the forum include digital literacy, creating an integrated and efficient system of using information technologies by Russian citizens and developing e-government and an information society. The participants will discuss the situation with government services websites and whether all regional portals should be integrated into a single one. The agenda includes increasing the accessibility of public services online and their use by the public. The participants will also discuss the prospects for making citizens-government interaction electronic. The forum will focus on the development of Internet of Things (IoT) and big data analysis (Big Data), the experience and prospects of creating smart cities and implementing IoT in the housing and utilities, healthcare, construction and security sectors.
Significant attention will be paid to the introduction of uniform standards for the websites of government agencies.
The participants will also discuss legal regulation of information processing on the Internet and risks of spreading illegal content and information wars.
