Coordination Center pays much attention to the development of network infrastructure

On June 7, Moscow hosted ENOG 11 – one of the largest events in the telecommunications industry that has been held since 2010 and attended by Russian and international companies operating on the markets of communications, data transfer, Internet addressing and cloud services. The Coordination Center for TLD RU was one of the initiators of convening this professional conference where experts discuss the most pressing issues of the industry, the development of global communications and the Internet, new technology and industry-related legislative initiatives.

Director of the Coordination Center for TLD RU Andrey Vorobyev made a speech at the opening of the ENOG 11 conference. He said the conference has been a recognized venue for meetings of the telecommunications community since 2010: “During the past years, ENOG has traversed a long road and preserved its technological orientation. Today, almost 800 participants registered for the conference, and I think this is a great success for such a specialized event.”

Mr.Vorobyev suggested more actively involving domain registrars in ENOG’s work. He recalled that the Coordination Center is paying much attention to the development of the Internet infrastructure: in late 2015, it even established a separate committee on infrastructure. Its members are famous Runet experts. The conference will last for two days. Its participants will discuss technical and legal issues, speak about the IPv4 и IPv6 protocols, recall the history of computer communications and take part in a round table discussion on IX-related traffic. In addition, on June 8 NLnet Labs specialists will present a report on new generic top-level domains and the stability of the system for managing root servers. This is a particularly topical issue now that the second application window for new top-level domains has opened, as ICANN reported recently.
