The Russian Domains statistical resource has added a new section – Web Technometrics – to its website. The collected statistical data make it possible to assess the prevalence of key solutions in the field of web technologies, as well as in the use of domains and the organization of access infrastructure. All data are available for each of the three Russian domains – .RU, .РФ and .SU.
The new section includes seven reports that provide detailed information on the total number of websites and the use of contextual advertising, web analytics and content management on these websites. The reports also contain information on hosting providers preferred by owners of websites in Russian domain zones and the geographical distribution of websites by country. A separate report is devoted to the use of the HTTPS protocol.
According to Web Technometrics, there are four million websites in Runet. The most popular counters are Yandex.Metrika (24.6% of websites) and LiveInternet (14.8% of websites). Owners and administrators prefer to use Wordpress as their content management system (9.8% of websites). Contextual advertising is used by 12.2% of Russian websites, and the most popular system is Google AdSense.
