The finals of the Moscow stage of Learn the Internet and Manage It! IT marathon brought together five teams of students from Moscow schools. The championship was sponsored by the School of New Technology project bureau, Coordination Center for TLD RU/РФ, Cisco, School No. 1421 and Vostochnoye Izmailovo Gymnasium No. 1811. The general sponsor is Rostelecom.
In the finals, the participants had to complete several tasks: answer correctly quiz questions related to Learn the Internet and Manage It!, do a quick network configuration, complete a physics task and assemble and disassemble a computer.
The best performers were the IT Virus team from School No. 183, which earned 73,000 points. The second place was taken by the Fixiki team from the Vostochnoye Izmailovo Gymnasium No. 1811 with 64,000 points. The team Flash from School No. 1421 trailed slightly behind with 62,000 points, taking third place.
The IT marathon is a series of tournaments held at educational facilities and aimed at raising students’ knowledge about information technology and the safe use of the Internet. The competitions are timed to coincide with the fifth all-Russia online championship for school students, Learn the Internet and Manage It!
The first stage of the IT marathon was a series of qualifying rounds which took place from March to May 2016 at various schools. The tournaments were attended by 35 school teams consisting of 10 students each.
