On April 21, Sochi and Tver hosted a series of seminars, "Website Formula: Internet Store from Concept to First Profit," launched by 1C-Bitrix in cooperation with Yandex, Mail.ru Group, VKontakte, and other IT companies. In the middle of April, the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.RФ joined in as the project’s co-organizer.
Similar free seminars are being held all across Russia from Moscow to Vladivostok and involve leading IT and e-commerce experts, who share their knowledge and experience with participants, answer their questions, and advise them on how to start up an online business and make it profitable.
Mikhail Anisimov of the Coordination Center took part in the Tver seminar, where he spoke about the legal aspects of online business, the responsibilities of website owners and intermediaries, the basics of domain operation, how domain disputes are resolved, and how to prevent a recapture.
Coordination Center Director Andrey Vorobyev took part in the Sochi seminar. Addressing reporters after the meeting, he explained where the interests of online business people lie today. “Earlier, online entrepreneurs were mostly concerned over how to choose domain names for online businesses correctly, while today the rights and responsibilities of the owners of Internet resources come to the foreground. The legal aspects of domain name registration and use are precisely what presentations by our experts seek to clarify. Domain disputes and lawsuits and how to handle them, and also the pre-court blocking of websites have not been left unattended. With each coming seminar, the agenda will expand,” he said.
On April 28, Coordination Center experts will attend a seminar in Tula.
