In March 2016, Group-IB sent 153 notices to accredited registrars to remove domain names that were in violation. As a result, 140 domain names were taken down. Of them, four were unblocked following an appeal from CERT-GIB after their owners resolved the issue causing the problem.
Thirteen domain names were not blocked after a quick response from their owners. To date, 136 domains are blocked and 17 are being delegated.
Most malicious domains are flagged for phishing (52%), while the smallest share (10%) belongs to botnet controllers.
