The Technical Center of Internet will change the frequency of the formation of the .RU domain zone file. The file for delegating second-level domains in .RU will be generated every two hours. The change will take effect May 11 at 1:10 pm Moscow time.
Currently, the zone file is generated four times a day, and many administrators and registrars of domain names applied to the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ and the Technical Center of Internet with a proposal to generate the file more often. This will reduce the time to distribute information on the status of domain names and let domain market participants respond more quickly to all changes in .RU domain zone.
“This change is being introduced for the benefit of both domain name registrars and administrators. The Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ and the Technical Center of Internet closely monitor users’ wishes and do their best to make the work with domain names quicker and more comfortable,” Coordination Center director Andrey Vorobyev said.
