On March 22, the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ and the School of New technologies project office held a webinar, The History of Runet, for 7–11 graders, their parents and university students. The center’s spokesman Mikhail Anisimov told the participants about the most important and interesting events in the history of the internet in Russia. The report was illustrated with pages of the website http://20.therunet.com/, created in 2014 for the 20th anniversary of Runet. The website was developed by various companies and individual Internet users, so it contains almost all major milestones in the development and growth of the Russian internet.
The webinar was attended by students from over 20 Moscow schools. They were interested in the issue and asked questions about the achievements of Russian developers and network builders, new services and apps to appear soon on the internet and the development of popular web services.
