On February 3rd at 13:00, a press-conference “Internet Security: the results of 2015 and plans for 2016” will be held at INA “Russia Today” press center.
Representatives of legislative bodies (the Federation Council and the State Duma), law enforcement (Ministry of Internal Affairs), and representatives of the Internet industry and active projects to fight illegal content on the Internet will take part in the press conference. Speakers will present statistics and analytics on Internet crime in 2015, the forecast of the situation in cyber security by types of threats for 2016, in the international context as well, analyze results of last year’s initiatives in improvement of users’ and businesses’ security in the digital environment and will also talk about the plans for further work in the area of safe and positive “digital space” for children and adults.

Press-Conference is conducted during the Safe Runet Week. It’s the official Russian series of events dedicated to the International Safer Internet Day that has been organized since 2008. The culmination of the Week will be the Cyber Security Forum\i-SAFETY that will take place on February 9th at Digital October. ROCIT has organized the event with the support of RAEC, Coordination Center for TLD RU/РФ and the Institute for the Development of the Internet.
An agreement between the Coordination Center for TLD RU/РФ and ROCIT will be signed at the press-conference. It will allow to facilitate the termination of circulation of illegal content within the framework of self-regulatory measures – an activity of ROCIT’s Center of Safe Internet to combat illegal content.
