The Coordination Center for TLD RU/РФ and the Moscow Center of Technological Modernization of Education (TemoCenter), a state educational institution under the Moscow Department of Education for continuing vocational education , have signed an agreement on research and technological cooperation under the Netoscope project to prevent the illegal use of the Internet.
The other project participants are Group-IB, the Coordination Center for TLD RU/РФ, Kaspersky Lab, Mail.ru, Sputnik (Rostelecom), RU-CERT, the Technical Center of Internet and Yandex. Under the agreement, the participants will research and classify instances of illegal use of the Internet and coordinate their actions to strengthen Internet security. TemoCenter and the Coordination Center plan to conduct joint research into the illegal use of the Internet, cooperating to collect and analyze data evidencing the illegal use of network user identifiers, allowing them to create common systems for exchanging information on security threats, etc.
The participants will permanently monitor the websites of all educational institutions and centers in Moscow to detect and cut short illegal and malicious activities.
Now that TemoCenter has joined the Netoscope project, the Internet should become a safer place for users, in particular at Moscow’s educational establishments.
