Mikhail Anisimov, a spokesman for the Coordination Center for TLD RU, spoke at the Discover ICT conference, which took place in Yekaterinburg on November 24-26.
The conference addressed an array of issues related to the development of the Internet in Russia and worldwide, regulation, technological trends, and the Internet-related economy.
Anisimov focused on the main trends of the global and Russian economy, including Internet administration, the adoption of new technological standards and legal regulation. Runet follows the same trends as the global Internet, he said, adding that high priority today is being given to personal data processing and storage and copyright issues. He also provided a detailed overview of the Coordination Center’s activity and plans for the near future.
