The results of the Learn the Internet and Manage It! all-Russia online championship were reviewed on November 3. The total number of participants was 15,820 this year; 4,359 participants formed 676 school teams from around the country, including Crimea. The championship was organized by the Coordination Center for TLD RU and Rostelecom.
The organizers were impressed by the number of registered participants, as well as their enthusiasm and desire to win. Notably, the essays and presentations mailed in by the participants as additional materials also touched the hearts of those who read them with their openness, sincerity and friendliness. In these works,the participants described how they help their grandparents, parents and even teachers master the computer and Internet.
As is customary, the championship was held as an individual and a team event. The winners were awarded valuable prizes and diplomas. The participants who finished first received tablets, silver medalists received smart phones and bronze medalists received headphones with a built-in player.
In the individual championship, the gold went to Paulina Zavgorodnyaya from Zelenokumsk in the Stavropol Territory. She is now the rightful owner of a QUMO Vega 8008W tablet. Daniil Galkin from Rybinsk in the Yaroslavl Region finished second, spending only three minutes more than Paulina to finish the game. He missed scoring the maximum number of points by a thin margin. Daniil received a brand new QUMO Quest 456 smartphone. Notably, his older brother Vladislav won the online championship in 2014. The bronze medal and QUMO Trio Rock headphones with a built-in player went to Darya Rizak from the town of Medyn in the Kaluga Region. Paulina and Darya have proved that girls have a better grasp of the Internet than boys.
In the team championship,the Krestiki-Noliki (Tic-Tac-Toe) team led by captain Zhanna Stepanova, a teacher from Secondary School №4 from the city of Vyazma in the Smolensk Region won first place, having coped with all the tasks in record time. In its presentation, the team provided great coverage of the work they’ve done to teach computer skills to older people. Our congratulations go to the gold medal winners! Each team member received a tablet.
The Islambay team led by captain Ramadan Galiullin, a teacher from a secondary school in the village of Islambayevo in the Republic of Bashkortostan performed brilliantly. They took second place and were presented with QUMO Quest 456 smartphones.
The team named Fortran headed by captain Olga Krasakova,a teacher at Gymnasium № 1 in the city of Novokuibyshevsk in the Samara Region won the bronze. The team members were given QUMO Trio Rock headphones with a built-in player.
