The meeting of Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ Council was held on October, 29. Council was in the new line-up because now it includes the Coordination Center founders.
Сordination Center CEO Andrey Vorobyev suggested to consider the priority development directions of Coordination Center in 2016. There are further improvement and development of domain registration system, creation of new products and services for registrars, questions of owner's intellectual property protection rights. Special attention will be paid to CC work in the sphere of information security, as well as CC educational projects. The Council recommended to General Meeting to approve the priority development directions of Coordination Center.
CC Council has considered the amendments in Domain registration rules in .RU/.РФ and "On the procedure to be applied in the domain name transmission support between registrars" Regulations. It is about a new algorithm of registrar change process, which approximates to similar one in the gTLDs. This approach is caused by the existing international practice and trend toward reasonable unification of registrar change procedures in various TLDs. The new algorithm will enable the use of "paperless" procedure at the maintaining of necessary security level in the process of registrar change. Rules amendments were in general approved by Council. Coordination Center CEO was requested to file the financial, organizational, and financial components of the project. After this, the Rules and Regulations will be directed to General Meeting for approval.
A working plan of Coordination center for November-December, 2015, was also approved at the meeting. Until the end of 2015 it is planned to create four new committees concerning intellectual property, Internet management, infrastructure development of the Russian Internet, and regulatory committee. Together with the Moscow Law Academy and the Court of Intellectual Rights Coordination Center will launch the competition of students' works on a subject of domain name protection as an object of intellectual property. The working plan of Coordination Center has included a number of new events until the end of this year: both Moscow, and regional ones.
