The unscheduled meeting of the Coordination Center for TLD RU/РФ Council took place on August 4, 2015. Director at Coordination Center Andrei Kolesnikov notified the Council members of taken steps connected with the received information about the registration of new version of “Coordination Center for TLD RU/РФ” ANO Charter by the Ministry of Justice of Russia. The Council noted the content of director’s message.
"Russian domain space is operated by the Coordination Center by order of the state and is used by all society. Therefore, management principles should be coordinated with all interested parties. The Coordination Center for TLD RU/РФ is not private company, it can't depend solely on founders’ will, with all due respect to Russian non-profit organizations working in the Internet field. Such an approach will inevitably lead to the conflict of interests. This very conflict is a threat to critical infrastructure as the CC as the national registry is a part of the international ecosystem of address resources,” Director of CC Andrei Kolesnikov said.
Also, it was decided to start preparing the next elections to the Coordination Center Council at the meeting. The member of CC Council Oleg Tabarovskii is appointed responsible for elections. They will take place in December, 2015.
