The number of domains violators fell in January

Group-IB sent 77 requests to accredited registrars asking to withdraw domain names violators from delegation in January 2015. The number is almost 60% lower than in December 2014. As a result of undertaken activities 51 domain names were withdrawn.

Of the 26 domain names what are currently on delegation, 19 were not blocked because their administrators managed to promptly resolve the deficiencies. 7 more domain names were unblocked after the reasons for blocking were eliminated by the owners of the domain names following standard procedure. Unblocking was conducted at the request of CERT-GIB.

The biggest share of detected domains violators accounted for phishing (71%), the lowest - botnet controllers (6%).
