The Coordination Center for TLD RU/РФ together with Rostelecom summarized the results of the third nationwide online game contest “Study the Internet – Govern it!” and announced the winners. This time prizes were awarded to the top three teams and individual participants according to the final rating.
10300 people applied to take part in the contest. Moreover, pupils and students not only demonstrated outstanding knowledge about the Internet, but also showed extra activity. Expert committee received more than 300 essays on the topic “Positive and negative influence of the Internet on a teenager” by email. Participants received additional bonus points because of the essays, which were taken into account during the calculation of results. Furthermore, in addition to the assays, 20 teams sent photos and videos, copies of publications in the media, covering the contest, presentations of school teams, etc.
In the individual competition 6700 participants registered. Two people at once got the best results – Vladislav Galkin from Rybinsk, Yaroslavl oblast and Daria Koryagicheva from Bogolyubovo settlement in Vladimir oblast. They got the maximum number of point (4.000) and sent essays; the committee gave 50 additional points for them. To determine the winner, participants were offered to prepare additional materials on the topic “What has the participation in the contest given me?” In the end Vladislav Galkin won the first place because he provided the video. For his achievement he gets a tablet QUMO Sirius 890. Daria Koryagicheva is one the second position (her prize – tablet QUMO VEGA 782), on the third place is her countryman Alexander Ermolaev (unique QUMO Smartwatch One).
The same situation occurred among 360 school teams that participated. In the team competition there were two teams that received a maximum number of points (40 000 + bonus 800) – Lyceum №11 from Krasnoyarsk under the direction of Anna Krepysheva and Gymnasium №26 from Naberezhnye Chelny (coordinator - Elena Badagieva). Both teams decided to fight till the end and sent materials on the topic “What has the participation in the contest given me?” The committee has a hard time choosing in favor of one of the groups but in the end victory went to pupils from Liceum №11 from Krasnoyarsk. On the third place of the standings was a team from a CATU Pervomaysky school (the captain was Irina Sokolova). All team participants as well as individual participants received tablets QUMO Sirius 890 and QUMO VEGA 782, as well as QUMO Smartwatch One according to positions taken. Apart from that, the committee decided to award a special prize “For the will to win” – first-rate headphones Beats Tour – to a team from Boronezh school №94 under direction of Alina Suhomlinova.
Tables with results and also participants’ works are published on the official web page of the contest – интернет-чемпионат.рф (“internet-championship”). Prizes, diplomas and certificates will be sent till December 15, 2014. Organizing committee congratulates the winners, thanks all the participants for their energy and enthusiasm and hopes that at the next year’s contest the fight will be as interesting as this year’s.
