Two months left to file an application for Dot-Journalism Award

The Dot-Journalism Award Committee will be accepting applications up until March 31, 2013. The award is hosted by the Coordination Center for TLD RU/РФ, RU-CENTER and the Russian Association for Electronic Communications (RAEC).

The award is aimed at supporting the journalists that keep their readers, listeners and viewers informed on the domain industry in Russia as well as on safer Internet browsing and legal aspects of using the global network.

Since the award committee started to accept the applications on October 17, 2012, the events around the award started to revolve. The committee now consists of 11 media and Internet experts; the award is now also supported by the Ministry of Mass Communications of the Russian Federation, as well as by numerous local government agencies and ministries (of Kursk and Chelyabinsk districts, Mari El republic, Primorsky Krai and Khabarovsk Krai, as well as many others). Professional journalism media, like The Journalist, NewReporter.org and others, are also supporting the event.

The Dot-Journalism award also had its website relaunched. The website now boasts new sections, including the award news, the partner page and the domaining newsfeed where the media can find the latest industry trends.

This year, the Dot-Journalism is awarded nationwide as well as in various regions. The regional media are now able to apply for two of the award's nominations: "The best piece on domaining in the region" and "The best blog entry in the region".

As in the previous years, the award will be presented at the biggest industry event this spring, the RIF+KIB conference that will take place in the end of April 2013.

The journalists are welcome to file their applications for the award at the Dot-Journalism website.
