EURid, .EU registry, together with UNESCO reports on IDN domains worldwide. Remarkably, the report contains analytical data on .РФ, while EURid experts name it the most successful among all IDN domains present worldwide.
Russian IDN has entered the ranking together with other well-known IDNs, namely Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Korea. EURid experts think that the growth rate in .РФ is pretty much similar to .RU, and the growth will continue, with many more prospects ahead for Russia's Cyrillic domain.
It is worth noting that, while preparing a case study on .РФ, a significant part of data was collected by using Russian Domains (statdom.ru), Russia's #1 stats resource for domaining.
On November 11, 2012, Russian Cyrillic domain has celebrated its second year since the landrush phase started. 845,031 domain names are registered in .РФ so far; today, it's the largest IDN in the world.
