Group-IB has presented a report for the previous month as a security expert for .RU and .РФ. According to the terms of the Agreement, the company takes an active part in tackling the cybercrime and violations in Russia's national domains. The report shows how Group-IB interacted with the registrars in .RU and .РФ, as well as boasts comprehensive stats for October 2012.
This October, CERT-GIB's experts (CERT-GIB is Group-IB's rapid response center) have seen 296 domains violating rules and regulations for domain names. Together with registrars, Group-IB was able to participate in blocking 282 domains, and removing unlawful content in 14 more.
Additionally, CERT-GIB, together with Yandex, Mail.Ru Group and Web of Trust, has launched its Antiphishing.ru project aiming at involving Internet community in tackling cybercrime, namely phishing and malware, with the Coordination Center also supporting the initiative. Antiphishing.ru boasts intuitive interface where every user is able to file his/her complaint on any suspicious site allegedly spreading malware or being a part of phishing activities. Users can either enter an URL or an IP address into the corresponding form, while CERT-GIB experts follow every application and see if the resource is really malicious. Moreover, all information on malicious websites and criminal activities will be passed on to law enforcement agencies.
