The contest of websites for children and youth “Positive Content” that started on the International Child Protection Day, on June 1, 2012 is held for the fourth time. Co-organizers of the “Positive Content” contest became RU-CENTER Company, the Foundation for Internet Development, and the Coordination Center for gTLD.RU/.РФ. General partners are MTS and the “Smart Internet” Foundation which now promotes the idea of creation of a new gTLD .ДЕТИ. Organizational partner is RAEC.
The Coordination Center for gTLD .RU/.РФ supported from the very beginning the organization of this event, it became one of its organizers in 2009 and in 2010. In 2012 The Coordination Center for gTLD .RU/.РФ decided to continue this tradition and support the contest again. The contest is one of the most respected reviews of the Internet resources of Russia and it is aimed at shaping a positive and useful Internet space for the growing generation.
The support to the contest is provided by the League for Safer Internet, WebHiTech project, the assistance program “Children on-line” and the Russian Sate Children’s Library of Russia, the bibliographers-specialists of the library will become experts for choosing the finalists of the contest. It is also supposed to involve in short –list compilation the youth jury-users and participants of the blog of a school wiser “e-parta”.
The partners of the contest are famous IT industry leaders in different segments: “1c-bitrix”, “Kaspersky laboratory”, UMI.CMS, PROMT, Russian Agency for the Development of Information Society, International Innovative Center of Nanotechnologies of the CIS, web studio Stooduck, an art magazine “Vvedenskaya storona,” “Optinsky forum”, club “War and Peace”.
The key objectives of this contest are to find most qualitative, educational and safe (both in technical and in content senses) sites as well as to support (and as a consequence to boost the creation of new) useful and positive sites involving children and youth audience of Runet into an active life both in the Internet and outside it.“Positive content 2012” welcomes Internet resources for children, teenagers and young people which have all before mentioned qualities.
To become a participant of the contest it is necessary to fill in a form at www.positivecontent.ru. We recommend reading the revised rules of the contest which are rather strict this year.
Applications for the participation in “Positive Content” are accepted until October 1, 2012.

The winners of the contest will be announced by November 2012. Award for best is scheduled for the end of November within the framework of the National Award for the Contribution into the Development of the Russian segment of the Internet -“RUNET Award 2012”.
