Coordination Center for TLD RU/РФ with the Support of the Ministry of Technology and Mass Communications will hold the third Russian Forum on Internet Governance - Information Security Forum. The event will take place on May 14, 2012 at the Expo Center on Krasnaya Presnya within the framework of the exhibition “Sviaz’-Expocomm-2012”.
This year the topic of the Forum is the problem of information security in the Internet: issues of cyber-security, copyright and intellectual property protection.
Leading foreign and Russian security experts, e-business representatives and representatives of Russian governmental and industrial agencies will take part in the Forum.
At the panel session Russian and foreign participants will exchange opinions and give their views on the most topical issues of Internet security. Head of the Bureau of Special Technical Measures, Police Major General Aleksey Moshkov will tell about his work for information security provision in electronic communications and Deputy Director of Department of Cyber-security and Crimes in electronic communications of INTERPOL Michael Moran dedicated their activity to combat against cybercrime.
The report about the role on international intergovernmental organizations in the realization of the concept of safe and accessible Internet will be presented by Andrew W. Wyckoff, Director for Science, Technology and Industry (DSTI) of OECD.
About tools and ways of reaction and the prevention of DDoS of attacks in world and Russian practice will tell toAndrea Rigoni, Director of the Global Cybersecurity Center (GCSEC) and Natalia Kaspersky, General Director of “Inforwatch”.
Program Director of Internet Society (ISOC) Andrey Robachevsky and Ruslan Gattarov, Member of the Federation Council of the RF Federal Assembly will share their views on the role of business and civil society in information security.
Jeff Moss , Vice-President of ICANN on Cyber-security will present his report to the participants of the Forum after the plenary session.
Within the framework of the event a number of special workshops will be held on four theme venues: “Domain names and fraudulent websites”, “DDoS-attacks and hackings”, “Crimes in the financial sector”, “Spam and virus attacks”. It will be possible to listen to the lectures of famous Internet security specialists, ask questions, and have hands-on experience of existing threats and methods of protection.
