The 2011 corporate performance report by Andrey Kolesnikov, CC’s CEO, for the period from 1 January through 30 June 2011, has been posted on CC’s website.
The report contains detailed information on all key events held by CC in the first half of 2011, current statistics of domain names registration in domains .RU and .РФ, information about CC’s activity regarding improvement of the registration system in the Russian national domains, as well as CC’wss 2011 semiannual financial report.
By the end of the first half of 2011, domain .RU hit 3,331,219 domain name registrations, which is by 1.6% higher than planned. Over the 1st half of 2011, domain .RU grew by 202,559 registrations, or by 6.5%. By the end of the 1st half of the year, as many as 855,751 domain names were registered in domain .РФ, which is by 19.4% over the planned figure. Thus, over the six months of 2011 domain .РФ grew by 155,324 domain names, or by 22%.
As part of the registration system’s development, in the 1st half of 2011, CC focused on improvement and unification of Terms and conditions of domain names registration in domains .RU and .РФ. Upon completion of all stages of its development an updated version of the Terms and Conditions will be submitted for consideration by the Internet community.
The report also provides detailed information on CC’s international activities and specifically on CC representatives’ participation in various events related to the functioning of the Internet addressing system, global governance issues and the safety in the Internet.
During the period in question, CC interacted with government agencies on the federal and regional levels. CC's staff focused on development and improvement of mechanisms and the government’s role in the Internet governance processes and provided expert support to relevant government agencies.
The results of the period under review have proved that Coordination Center has fulfilled its operational plan within the budget approved by its Board and has implemented tasks set by the Board.
