The federal antimonopoly service to put off the investigation into allocation of domain names to mid-april and to fine the defendant

The Coordination Center took part in a regular meeting of the Federal Antimonopoly Service on the case of allocation of domain names in IDN TLD .РФ. As a reminder, as RU-CENTER has failed to submit on time the requested by the FAS documents, the agency instituted an administrative case against the registrar. At its meeting on 1 April, the FAS ruled that the CJSC “RSITS” and ANO “RSITS” were to pay an administrative fine in the amount of 300 thousand Rubles each. The FAS representatives also noted that payment of penalty would not relieve the defendant from the obligations. In other words, after all the RU-CENTER will have to submit the documents, which are necessary for the consideration of the case by the FAS.

Ekaterina Govorkova, the principal applicant in the case of allocation of domain names, also filed a request for ANO “RSITS” submitting its balance sheet. However, the FAS satisfied her request was only partially: the FAS put certain materials under the category of ”classified for internal needs”. Whereas, the RU-CENTER failed to submit some documents to the Federal Antimonopoly Service, the next meeting on the case was scheduled for mid-April.
