ПРЕЗИДЕНТ.РФ, the pioneer site in the new Cyrillic domain .РФ –was presented the 2010 Google Trend award for category Site of the Year.
On 1 February the Gorky Park hosted the second annual awards ceremony Google Trend for 2010. This year’s winners were picked for 15 categories, including principal newsmaker, sportsman, actor, movie, passion or even question of the year, among others. The Site of the year category was presented for the first time.
To pick a winner in each category, experts ran through all search queries, which Runet users put to Google made in 2010. Subsequent to the findings, the most popular in 2010 fifteen phrases and words were picked.
An exhibition of ice sculptures which depict winners in each category opened in the Gorky Park. The sculptor enchiseled site ПРЕЗИДЕНТ .РФ in the form of the Kremlin’s Spassky Tower and the domain name .РФ
