On 10 November 2010 the “Izvestia” media center will host a press conference on the “Launch of the Open Registration in ccTLD .РФ” organized by the Coordination Center for ccTLD .RU. The CC director, Andrey Kolesnikov, will tackle questions regarding launching of the new Russian Cyrillic ccTLD .РФ and prospects of its evolution.
As a reminder, at midday 11 November 2010 any RF citizen or legal entity registered in Russia may register a domain in zone .РФ. During one year starting from the date of the domain name registration in Cyrillic domain .РФ the ban on the change of domain name administrator will be effective. Moreover, the CC’s Board has taken a decision on compiling a stop-list for ccTLD .РФ: in particular, the use of domain names with obscenities in the title has been banned.
