2 September 2010 regular meeting of the ccTLD .RU Board took place.
The meeting addressed the issue of holding the agency contract-based landrush registration with the use of the graduated-scale setback model. The Board members disapproved of the concept referencing to it being too complex to implement. Moreover, the Board regarded proposed domain prices as unacceptably high for common users. The Board has commissioned the CC’s director, Andrey Kolesnikov, to submit for consideration other open registration models till 30 October.
The Board members have approved the Director’s report on the CC’ performance for the first half year of 2010 and the report by the CC’s Auditor. The CC’s performance report will be posted shortly on the website cctld.ru
