The First Russian Internet Governance Forum has become a perfect arena for presentation by the Coordination Center for TLD RU a book “Internet Governance”. Authored by Jovan Kurbaliya and translated and published in Russian by CCTLD .RU, the English-language original has gotten several impressions to date. The Russian one will be of interest to the Runet pros and abecedarians alike. Notably, the monograph is the first reference publication in Russia on Internet governance issues. This publication is about current challenges in the area and it highlights ambiguity of the term itself. It also contains references to the principles underlying the global Internet.
“I will be very glad if this book helps us all to better understand a complicated process of Internet governance and provide food for ensuing discussions and debates,” – Andrey Kolesnukov Director of the Coordination Center, says.
“Efficient Internet governance is feasible only when such major stakeholders as governmental organizations, business community and civil society are engaged in it. There is no way to attain ultimate objectives without constructive interaction between them,”- adds Mikhail Yakushev, the Chairman of the Coordination Center for ccTLD .RU,.
