On 9 November 2009 Russian President Dmitry Medvedev received Igor Schegolev, the RF Minister of Telecom and Mass Communications. Mr. Schegolev briefed the President on the progress with introduction of the Cyrillic alphabet domain .РФ. He also updated the RF President on the schedule of the launch of the new domain and on the changes which would take place in the Internet due to the launch of the domain .РФ.
