Second week of 2026 marked by 7-figure deal

The year has just started but the domain market is already buzzing. Sedo has released its weekly sales for January 6-12, with some impressive results. Eighty-three non-NDA deals were made official over the reporting week, each worth $2,000 and higher. The platform sold 59 .com domain names, 18 ccTLDs, and six other TLDs.

.COM domain names swept the podium. The Domains reports that Midnight.com sale was the largest transaction of the week, earning the seller $1,150,000 in the first seven-figure deal of the year. Another deal worth mentioning is c4.com, sold for $265,000. This second-largest deal broke the record for two-character domain names in .COM consisting of one letter and one digit. The previous record was set by a1.com sold for a similar price over 20 years ago.
Both deals were handled by Sedo broker Mark Ghoriafi who rightfully bears the nickname of Mr. Premium. For many brokers, two such deals in an entire year would mean immense success, but Ghoriafi managed to close them in the second week of the year.

Arkk.com, sold for $25,000, holds the third place in the weekly sales ranking. In ccTLDs, the Alex.eu deal in the EU integrated domain for European Union countries brought the seller 15,000 euros ($17,400 as of the publication date). Ohp.org is leading in other domain zones after changing owners for $18,000.
