Although 2025 is almost over, the rankings of the largest domain transactions continue to be updated. Domain Investing has reported another major deal: the domain name Anything.com has changed hands for $2 million. The domain previously belonged to a company of the same name, Anything.com, which owns a substantial portfolio of names in the .COM gTLD, including Home.com, Marketing.com, Blade.com, Kitchen.com, and many other highly valuable domains.
The buyer was Anything, a company developing AI-based software. It recently raised $11 million in a funding round and appears to have decided to allocate a significant portion of this amount to acquiring a more suitable domain name. Previously, the company operated under the domain CreateAnything.com. As Anything founder Marcus Lowe announced on the X network (formerly Twitter), “community helped us build the brand, today it gets the domain it deserves.”
The seller will now likely face a major rebranding, as it can no longer use a domain name it no longer owns. However, given its extensive portfolio of domain names, it should be able to select another name that is equally distinctive and appealing. As for the transaction itself, according to DN Journal’s updated rankings, it now occupies fourth place among the largest publicly disclosed domain purchases of the year.
