Sedo weekly results

The domain marketplace Sedo has summed up the results of another week. According to The Domains, it was not the most productive period: 57 transactions worth $2,000 and above, with no confidentiality obligations, were recorded. By recent standards, this is a rather modest result.

However, there were some notable deals. The domain name Diffs.com was purchased for £99,000 ($130,677 at the exchange rate at the time of Sedo’s report), making it the week’s top transaction. Two other .COM domains also entered the top three: Jorum.com sold for $48,000, and Brokero.com for $34,995. In total, .COM domains accounted for 40 transactions.

Country-code domain zones lagged well behind both in the number of deals (15) and in transaction values. The largest purchase in this category was SGE.eu, acquired in the European Union’s unified national domain zone for €13,000 ($15,080). It was followed by UA.se (Sweden’s country-code domain, €5,000 or $5,800) and Silverfox.eu (€3,900 or $4,524).

The results for other domain zones were even more modest. Only two transactions were recorded in these categories, the largest being the acquisition of Aiverse.click for €3,000 ($3,480).
