DN Journal has presented the latest edition of its rating of the highest reported domain deals, covering the period from April 28 to May 11. It once again reaffirms a well-known truth among domain market professionals: short domain names – five characters or fewer – remain the most sought-after and highly valued, with 11 out of the top 20 sales falling into this category, including four of the top five.
Another trend shown in the rating, though no longer novel, is not a universal truth yet: domains in Anguilla’s ccTLD, .AI, continue to gain popularity. This time, three of the top five sales involved .AI domains, and there are seven such deals in the top twenty overall. Interestingly, all 20 recorded sales involved domain names either in the .COM zone or ccTLDs.
At the top of the list is the sale of Rush.ai for $300,000 as UIG.com comes second, sold for $280,000 followed by Seed.ai at $225,000. Rounding out the top five are Champion.ai ($89,500) and FFSN.com ($75,000).
