Domain transactions via Escrow.com hit $99 million in Q3

Escrow.com, a leading secure escrow service specializing in high-value domain name transactions, has released its third-quarter results. According to Domain Name Wire, the total value of domain transactions processed through Escrow.com reached $99 million during this period. This marks a 16 percent increase compared to the same quarter last year and a 9 percent rise from the second quarter of this year.

The United States market was the primary driver of this growth. Transaction volumes from American domain investors rose significantly, from $55 million in the second quarter of 2024 to $77 million in the third quarter. The UK market also experienced an increase, growing from $6.6 million to $11 million. With the U.S. and UK markets collectively accounting for $88 million out of the total $99 million in transactions, it’s clear that other markets, to put it mildly, did not perform as strongly.

In Q3, the median domain transaction value remained steady at approximately $5,000, unchanged from the previous quarter. Anguilla’s country code domain, .AI, continued to deliver impressive results, with transaction volumes reaching $2.5 million. This figure nearly matched the record-high $2.6 million achieved in the first quarter of this year.
