.ART Summed Up The Results Of The Q1

UK Creative Ideas Limited, which manages the new gTLD .ART, has shared its results for the Q1 of this year. The number of registrations in the domain zone approached 250,000 and increased by 27% compared to the same period last year. Within three months, 1,276 premium names were registered - a good result, especially considering that 70% of all registration revenue comes from premium names to the registry.

Among other important events of the first quarter, the Online Domain highlights the beginning of cooperation between the .ART domain and the ENS (Ethereum Name Service) blockchain DNS. Now registrants of names in the .ART domain zone can also receive corresponding names in ENS. And given the popularity of various NFT art projects, such a move looks very promising.

It can also be noted that at least 15 premium domain names were registered at prices ranging from $5,000 to $10,000. These are, for example, pet.art, tea.art, rap.art, word.art, and letter.art domains. At the same time, the average price of registering a premium name in the domain zone in the Q1 of this year was $423. The average renewal rate for premium domain registrations after the first year is 80%. It remains to add that the .ART domain started 6 years ago, on May 11, 2017, and is gaining popularity not too fast, but quite confidently.
