Majestic launches Typo Domains

Majestic announced the launch of a new tool, Typo Domains, on its blog. As the name implies, it can detect typosquatting domain names. Users interested in a specific domain will also see domain names that are very similar in spelling and differ by only one or two characters, their order, or have some letters replaced with visually similar digits.

Typo Domains allows copyright holders to quickly detect domains that violate their rights, which is the most obvious application of the new service. Moreover, if a customer is only thinking about registering a domain name, the service will help them identify potential "semantic neighbors" that can negatively affect the site traffic in the future. At the same time, the service is not limited to compiling a list of similar names; for each name, it provides a range of valuable metrics, including the number of referring URLs, citation flow and topical trust flow, developed by Majestic, and others. All this makes the tool extremely useful for analytics, the development of marketing and optimization strategies and search engine optimization.

Typo Domains is available to all Majestic subscribers. The service is currently unavailable to users in Russia.
