The ICANN has published statistics regarding registrar companies that work with domain names in the .COM zone. The information is based on Verisign data and summarizes the results of November last year. During this month, the largest number of domains in the .COM zone was registered through GoDaddy - 738,066. It is also the largest registrar for the .COM domain: it manages 55,934,815 domain names. In total, there were 160.5 million registrations in the .COM domain in 2022, and, thus, GoDaddy manages more than a third of the total number of registrations.
The second and third places in terms of the number of November registrations were taken by Namecheap Inc. and Google Inc. – 268,760 and 193,371 registered names, respectively. And in the "overall standings" the second place belongs to Newfold Digital+ (the company manages 13,174,668 domain names), the third one belongs to Tucows (11,443,373 registrations). The Domain Name Wire, publishing this news, draws attention to the fact that the Singapore company GNAME has appeared among the largest registrars of the .COM domain for the first time. In November, 98,456 domains were registered through it (by the way, the seventh result among all registrar companies working with the .COM). And the total number of domains in the .COM zone managed by GNAME was 2,760,581 - the tenth largest registrar.
