No Six-Figure Domain Deals Registered In The Previous Two Weeks

The DN Journal has published the next issue of its rating of the largest domain deals. The rating is updated every two weeks, and the current release was the first since the beginning of the year, in which there is not a single "six-figure" transaction (in the amount of $100,000 or more).

ontrary to the skepticism of many domain investors and analysts, 2023 has started quite stormy, and has already brought a lot of big purchases, but the latest results look very modest.

Are the gloomy predictions of those who say that global political and economic instability will inevitably hit the domain market starting to come true, or is it just a temporary lull? DN Journal publisher and rating compiler Ron Jackson urges not to rush to conclusions. He once again reminds that the rating includes only transactions, information about which is in the public domain, and they represent only a small, visible part of the iceberg. Jackson notes that he has spoken privately with two top domain brokers in recent days. And both said they were working on closing domain deals worth over $1 million. However, there is no chance that these transactions will appear in the rating: the parties are bound by non-disclosure obligations.

If we go back to the transactions of the last two weeks, information about which is publicly available, then the ranking is topped by the acquisition of the Millionaires.com domain name for $60,100. The second line belongs to the Vital.io domain, which changed hands for $60,000. In third place is the sale of the domain name Earlybird.xyz for $49,499.
