Greek .eu domains were phase out

Domain names written in the Greek alphabet have been removed from the unified national domain of the countries of the European Union .EU, according to the Online Domain. The removal took place on November 14 and was planned: it was preceded by a transitional period of three years. During this time, registrants of such domain names could convert their domains to the internationalized Greek version of the .EU domain - .ευ.

Now the transition period is over and I would like to believe that it was long enough for all registrants to take the necessary measures and not lose their domain names forever. The removal was carried out as part of measures to avoid encoding conflicts in domain names. The number of Greek domain names removed from the .EU domain zone is not reported.
